Today/tonight saw our 3 casts for next Saturday's Wireless at The Wharf event come together for their first read-throughs.
Here are the cast and director of the first play The Little Things by Rob Johnston.
The event is already sold out, so look out for other events coming up this year.
It's Blue Monday. supposedly the "most depressing day of the year". Depression is a serious matter with suicides at an all time high.
This February we invite you to experience the most joyful exploration of this dark subject you will see this year.
Every Brilliant Thing is an event you don't want to miss. A mixture of stand-up and performance that will engage you like you have never been engaged in a theatre before; creating conversations that will stay with you but also send you out with a smile on your face.
This is a journey of one person - from boy to man - that is universal and simple: finding the joy in the darkness of life.

Next up is EVERY BRILLIANT THING. Not until February but getting in some rehearsal time before Christmas break.

Busy, Busy.

Our studio is a small space but with a few props and judicious use of lighting to underpin the performance we have recently created a dystopian world, a canal bank, a 1960's suburban lounge among many others. Our audiences fill in the blanks that might otherwise be done by a traditional set.
Next a community hall in Yorkshire, the setting for next week's play, Trestle.
TRESTLE in its final week of rehearsals. Opens next week, 29 November. Runs until 2 December.
TICKETS available for all performances.
Available via our website.
In the last 7 days, RLT has been a hive of activity.

Romiley Little Theatre are looking to cast the pivotal role of Josephine, for their October production of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg.
Josephine, is a 10 year old child with cerebral palsy, She is nonverbal, and uses a wheelchair.
We require a female actor with a playing age of between 9 and 12 with good physicality. Although the character is non-verbal there are some lines to voice her inner thoughts.
We are open to performers over 18 who are able to convincingly portray this younger age, as the themes of the play require delicate handling more suited to an experienced actor.

In the first instance, please email expressions of interest to info@romileylittletheatre.org.uk and our director, Gareth Jones, will then make contact to arrange a meeting.
